All Major Religions Believe in a God

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

By Lance Winslow It is said that all major religions believe in God or a God. Some major religions believe in multiple gods in one entity or many gods with different attributes. But this does not mean that a god or gods exist at all. Just because billions of people in the planet have been brainwashed from the time they were very young into a religious following or organized cult does not mean it is real or that there even is a God. It is similar to the innate characteristic of human beings to follow others rather than think for themselves. After all it is easier to follow than to lead. Many people believe that the reason that humans believe in a God is it allows them to communicate with a higher source than self. But in doing so often the followers of large religions give up self and their life experience to live their life in a way, which has been designed by another. He who gives up his life experience for another cannot experience life to its fullest. And we know that all world religions are controlled by other men who wish to control the masses. So just because all major religions believe in a God is meaningless, so what? If a hundred people jumped off a bridge, would you jump too? If you want to find the person who controls religion, he will be the person who does not jump and says he will go last. Trust me, he will say. The only reason why all religions believe in a God is because those who control religion have discovered this method works to control humans. Consider this in 2006. “Lance Winslow” - Online Think Tank forum board. Locating Resources For Homeschooling

Monday, May 26th, 2008

By Christopher Byrnes Homeschooling is slowly becoming a trend nowadays and most parents are having fun with the interaction they are having with their child. Some parents are still having second thoughts regarding homeschooling though. Their main concern is that they might be having some problems finding resources to use for homeschooling. This article will help you find resources from different places. The first stop is a ride to your nearest bookstores. Armed with a list of possible books to buy from a curriculum of a school, you can buy the books at any convenient bookstore. This will save you a lot of time and give you flexibility with regards to your child’s studies as bookstores have more choices and references for your child to use. An alternative stop would be a trip to your closest magazine stores. Magazines provide you a lot of catalogs where you can choose from a lot of advertisers listed in it. This will help you from spending lots of time searching through bookstores and will give you a sense of what your child’s going to get. Of course, with all the technology available on the internet, you should not be really surprised that you can find websites offering help in your child’s studies. Some of them can be easily found when searching at Google and some of them can be given to you by other people who are also having their child homeschooled. The simplest place to look for resources is by going to a public library. Public libraries have books and references for you child to take home and use. To help with that, libraries have different instructional materials such as videos (like those from National Geographic) and cassette tapes (like tapes that will help you learn another language). These instructional materials not only help with the books in teaching but they also help in easing out the boring quality and the monotony ofbooks given out to children. Libraries also offer a lot of computer software which will not only help with your child’s learning but will also help him in understanding different computer technologies and how they work. Often computer software is easy and fun to use, therefore attracting a lot of young people to use it. Libraries also give book discussions. Book discussions not only train your child to read but also to think and criticize every thing that he/she reads. This will not only develop reading comprehension, it will also help your child in critical thinking. Another place to look at is at the house of another parent who decided to homeschool their children. You might find it interesting that they are willing to share both their experiences and their used materials (books, references and other activity materials). You could save a lot of money and at the same time learn from these people who have already experienced the joys and the pains of homeschooling a child. The most neglected place and probably one of the most informational, next only to a library, is the museum. A trip to a museum will not only help your child appreciate art and history but your child will also learn a lot from observing and listening to the history of all the museum displays. The best way to conduct this is by joining a group museum tour where there will be an instructor to guide and give you bits of information that will help your child. The last place, but definitely not the least in this list, is inside your home. Search your cupboard and teach your child some simple baking lessons. This will not only help your relationship with your child but it will also promote your child to learn patience and of course will teach your child how to bake. You could also do outdoor activities such as planting seeds. This will help your child be interested in plant life but if coupled with other activities (such as mathematics), this has a potential to be both fun and instructional. You basically just have to find out where your child’s attention is focused. Upon learning this, you can try to join your child’s playtime and turn it into something educational. Choosing A Cell Phone Plan

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_Lenkefi]Peter Lenkefi Choosing a cell phone plan can be exciting or confusing. The reason is so many options are available and each one is claimed to be the best option. There may be several options available to you but the best option should be one that fits your lifestyle and needs. There are two major ways to choose a cell phone plan : By considering prepaid or post paid plans, and frequency and area of coverage.A prepaid service may be suitable for someone who does not use the phone everyday or regularly as the credit ca be extended over a long period of time. Why pay a fixed amount each month for a service you may be using once a while? A prepaid service will not require rigorous background checks like credit checks. So if you have a poor credit rating, this is your obvious choice as credit approval is a requirement for connection to this service. If you are uncertain about future income, prepaid is ideal as there are no monthly service charges to be honored. Additionally, prepaid does not involve bills and a highly mobile person will find the post paid and its resultant bills uncomfortable as he keeps moving away from his permanent address. If you are allergic to paperwork and contracts, stick to post paid as post paid demands contact, documents and a lot of administrative work. Prepaid is also ideal for people who need to conceal their identity as there is no way you can be identified with a prepaid service. One great disadvantage of prepaid is that a lot of features are not available to you. With regards to coverage and frequency of use factors, where you intend to use the phone and how often you use the phone will determine which service to go for. If you travel a lot, then you will have to go for one that allows you to roam whilst still maintaining your cell number. If the company does not cover your area of business, then it may not be worth going forth. Again some carriers charge according to the geographical area you would be making the call from so it is prudent to subscribe to the service that will cover your area. On the other hand, if you will remain home for most of the time, then you may have to choose a local service plan as a wider geographical area will cost you more unnecessarily. You may need to ask yourself Am I going to use the phone for emergencies, occasionally or for business? A business phone needs a service that is cheap and highly flexible so you can be able to run your business with great ease and least cost. If you would need the phone for only three hours a month for example, then you may not have to go for an expensive monthly plan which has to be paid for each month irrespective of the usage. Lastly, do you want a digital or analog service? If you a simple caller with no sophiscated needs, you may need a simple analog service but if you an advanced user you may have to go for a more expensive digital service. Your phone plan is a reflection of your needs and profile. Moderate users should choose the least expensive option to save money and advanced users should opt for enhanced features which come at a greater cost but essentially serve their needs. Depression Medicine

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

By David McEvoy No one knows what causes depression and there are many variations in the way a depressive disorder can manifest itself. It isn’t possible to tell who is going to develop depression, and there is no way of knowing what medication might help or even exactly how each medicine works. What is known is that without assistance, it is possible for depression to continue for weeks, months or sometimes years and that medicine can help, but which one? Again, this will differ from person to person and with so many medicines available, both on prescription and over the counter, where do you start? The following represents a list of medicines commonly used to treat depression. Prescribed Medicines If you suffer from clinical or more severe forms of depression, then it likely that you will be prescribed medication by your Doctor. There are several different types available and these include Tricyclics (TCAs), Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), Serotonin and Noradrenaline Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs), Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs) and many others. All of them work in various ways to alter the activity of certain chemicals in the brain that have an impact on our mood and how we feel. Just as depression affects each individual differently, so too does the effect of any medication. After an assessment of your symptoms and the possibility of undesirable side effects, your Doctor will identify the most appropriate one to begin with and will probably start you on a low dose and if there is no change after a number of weeks, a higher dose or perhaps an alternative medication will be prescribed. Over the Counter Medicines There are many preparations on the market that can be bought over the counter, which are probably more suited to milder forms of depression but it is always important to discuss options with your Doctor first as even seemingly safe medicines can carry risks, particularly if you have other health problems and are already taking some form of medication. SAMe SAMe or S-Adenosylmethionine to use its full name, is a naturally occurring substance in the body that is involved in many biochemical processes. Research has shown that some people suffering from depression have lower levels than those who are not. SAMe appears to work by increasing the levels of neurotransmitters in the brain, for example, serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, all of which play an important role in determining our mood. One advantage of taking SAMe is that it can start to work quite quickly and has the added bonus of having fewer side effects than conventional medicine. St John’s Wort St. John’s Wort or Hypericum perforatum has increasingly been recognised for the beneficial effect it can have on mild to moderate depression. It appears to work, at least in part, in much the same way as Prozac by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin. One of the main concerns with St. John’s Wort is that it does interact with many other drugs to produce some undesirable effects so it is particularly important to discuss the implications of taking St John’s Wort with your GP first. 5-HTP The full term for this is 5-hydroxytyptophan, which is a type of amino acid produced by the body that can be converted into serotonin. As well as lifting mood by increasing serotonin levels, it also appears to improve sleeping patterns, aids weight loss, and exerts a positive influence on many other physiological processes. It has been used to help alleviate the symptoms of migraine, insomnia and Fibromyalgia amongst others, but is most commonly used to help treat depression. Fish Oil People suffering from depression tend to have lower levels of Omega 3 fatty acids in their blood and supplementing with fish oil has been found to be effective in reducing the symptoms of depression and other mood related disorders including bipolar disorder and post natal depression. The most important Omega 3 fatty acids are Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), however, DHA is important for healthy structure of the brain but it is EPA that appears the most significant for healthy brain function on a day to day basis. EPA has powerful anti inflammatory properties, can increase serotonin levels and improve blood flow to the brain. Research indicates that fish oil with a high EPA content is better than standard fish oil containing lower ratios of EPA to DHA. Homeopathic Remedies There are a number of Doctors and other health professionals who also prescribe homeopathic remedies. Although it is possible to purchase homeopathic remedies over the counter, it is wise to seek the advice of a trained homeopath that will be able to take into account many other factors in order to give the most appropriate preparation. Homeopathy works on the philosophy that “like cures like” so that whatever causes the symptoms of a particular condition can be cured by the very same thing if given in a much diluted form. Examples of homeopathic remedies include Veratrum album, Natrium muriaticum and Ignatia, all of which can be used to treat depression. One of the main benefits of homeopathic remedies is that they are safe to use and you don’t have to discontinue other medications whilst taking them. The Homeopathic Association keeps a register of qualified doctors, nurses and dentists who are also qualified homeopathic practitioners. Depression and anxiety are serious conditions that can strike anyone at anytime. From “Cleaning Lady” to Entrepreneur: How Your Cleaning Business can Benefit from the Images

Friday, May 9th, 2008

By Rosana Hart Many people never consider entering the cleaning business because of the images it has. “Be a janitor (or cleaning lady or maid)? Me? That’s too demeaning!” is a common reaction. In the past, these jobs had very low status. Nobody with a college degree would be caught dead doing them. These ideas are slowing changing, but since the business of cleaning only has about 6% self-employed entrepreneurs, it’s still true that a lot of the jobs where you work for other people are dead-end and low-paying. If you are thinking of starting a cleaning business, you may have felt a little uncertain about how you would explain your new activity to family and friends. What would your sometimes-too-blunt friends say? How much teasing would you have to endure? It’s been said that every negative has the seeds of a positive in it, and that’s certainly true here. Fear of what other people will think means that a lot of people never will never consider the opportunities here… and you can laugh all the way to the bank! Today’s self-employed cleaning business owners are entrepreneurs. That’s just a fancy way of saying that they have a lot of freedom to create a business that makes an excellent profit, working hours they set. They can choose their clients. Mortgage Marketing - How to Earn More Business From Realtors(r)

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

By Jeffrey Nelson Is your marketing strategy getting the results you desire? Mailing postcards, handing out flyers, giving out your business card, and referring real estate agents to your website are forms of marketing activity, but does that mean its effective? Being effective first means understanding how marketing to real estate agents works. Otherwise, youre practicing the definition of insanity - Doing the same thing repeatedly, each time expecting a different result. Let me share a powerful illustration of marketing: If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying, Circus is coming to Fairgrounds Sunday, thats Advertising. If you put the sign on the back of an elephant and walk him through town, thats a Promotion. If the elephant walks through the Mayors flowerbed, thats Publicity. If you can get the Mayor to laugh about it, thats Public Relations. And, if you planned the whole thing, thats Marketing!- Author Unknown Crafting a Bulletproof Marketing Plan Do you enjoy rendering service, helping people live the American dream and adding income to an Agent’s bank account? I suppose two out of three isn’t bad, is it? If you’re passionate about helping others, crafting a marketing plan is possible when you learn and understand the key components, which I call the 4 P’s. Planning Planning is the foundation from which you build your marketing. The process helps yield decisions on how you can compete best. By taking the time to properly plan you can avoid many of the common mistakes loan officers make in creating an overall marketing strategy. Creating a marketing plan is a formal process of describing the type of relationships you want to attract, how many you want to attract and how you will attract them. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know what you have to concentrate on to do it. You also know what is merely a distraction. Positioning A position is a place in your prospects mind. You use positioning as a communication tool to reach targeted Agents in an information-overloaded marketplace. By narrowing your focus you can build a position as a specialist or expert in their mind. This increases the chances of your marketing message cutting through the noise. Instead of competing with every loan officer in your town, youve created a niche specialty in which you can become recognized as an expert over time. Positioning is your competitive strategy for getting noticed. One of the most profound statements made on the subject of positioning comes from Louis Carrolls Alice In Wonderland. When Alice asks the Cheshire Cat which path to take, he responds, If you dont care where youre going, it doesnt make a difference which path you take. Give your marketing plan better focus, or else your service will be perceived as coming from a multi-headed creature -speaking from many mouths, saying nothing and going nowhere. Packaging Often, its your materials that Agents come across and gives them their first impression. Perceptions are formed from the quality of your materials that promote your services. Packaging is your opportunity to build a personal brand identity with Agents that theyll trust. Packaging that has been professionally designed conveys that youre established, especially important if youre new in the industry. You can shape an Agent’s perception to increase credibility, give a sense of stability and most importantly - to make your brand more memorable. Promoting Promoting your services is what gives your brand identity visibility and credibility. To attract quality relationships you desire, Agents must become familiar, comfortable and feel that youre trustworthy. If youre invisible, nobody is thinking of you. Promoting is your opportunity to repeat yourself visually. A Grammy winner never won the award from their fans hearing the song one time. They won because their fans heard their song repeatedly. Once youve determined a position within a niche specialty, your goal is to promote it through every medium that reaches your targeted audience. Become an Agent Magnet In its simplest terms, its about knowing which problems that you can solve for Agents and then targeting the Agents who have those problems. The more painstaking the problem you can solve, the better magnetism you have in your marketing. If you chase Agents, theyll always feel they have the upper hand. By incorporating the 4 Ps into your marketing and way of thinking, soon youll have Agents hunting for your services. Jeff Nelson helps mortgage companies and individual loan officers increase loan originations by developing customized relationship-building strategies that secure quality relationships with real estate agents. Will War in the Middle East Eventually Begin the Battle of Armageddon?

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

By Christine Bettridge Will history eventually disintegrate into a global holocaust of devastating chaos like many religious people say? Is the present situation in the Middle East that religious folks say are pointing at to give their claims weight? They are insisting that these events have been arranged specifically to forecast the day that Christ will rise up and walk the earth again at judgment. What makes this claim different then what they have asserted repeatedly in the passed? It all goes back to what the Bible says about Armageddon. Armageddon is mentioned in the New Testament once, and that is in Revelation 16:16. The phrase ”Armageddon” is often used metaphorically. This is in keeping with fictional stories that focuses on apocalyptic themes of the world ending. However, Revelation 16:16 is covered with allusions concerning the Old Testament. This is because the New Testament is largely rooted in the ideas and descriptions of Hebrew sacred writings. Yet, writers have rewritten, tailored, and combined thought instead of quoting directly from the Old Testament. Why? It was necessary for writers to do this because they wanted to relate to an environment which would enable them to address themselves as they existed at that time. In taking liberally from the Old Testament imagery they were able to place a New Testament, first century relevance, viewpoint on them. Many Asia Minor Christians are familiar with the Old Testament, but those of us who are not some explanations are in order. The word Armageddon comes from the word ”Harmageddon” which means mountain or hill of Megiddo. Megiddo was a hill where many gory conflicts took place. A lot of Jewish scholars and interested persons of Hebrew history may know that the Megiddo and its surrounding area was a well-known field of war where quite a few unsuccessful military battles occurred. On this famous hill, Deborah and Barak defeated the Cannaanites, this is mentioned in Judges 5:19. Then there was Judges 7, where Gideon defeated the Midianites. Although, these battles are seen as accomplishments there are less positive images that center around Megiddo that have imprinted themselves on Israelite consciousness. An example, is in 2 Kings 9:27 where Ahaziah died on Megiddo after being pierced by Jehus arrow, and in 2 Kings 23:29 where tragically good King Josiah was brought down at the hands of Pharaoh Necho. King Josiah death brought on an upsurge of communal grief by his fellow Jews that was recorded in Zechariah 12:11. Megiddo, due to its far reaching past, has occupied a revered place in the minds of true believers. Megiddo holds a place of such importance in the minds of first century Jews and Christians. Consequently, near the end of the first century, ill-treated Christians of Asia Minor and their desire to overcome and endure painful persecutions was shown in the course of the battle being waged between Satan in the form of Imperial Rome and the power of God, the Messiah and the saints. In an earlier period, Christians needed hope of victory over their enemies. During our day and age Christians for the same thing but it won’t be fulfilled in an end time battle of Armageddon but rather a spiritual battle. Encouragement was what Christians needed to remain sound in their faith, even while they were being battered by their fellow human beings. Harmageddon in the book of Revelation added to their assurance as a reminder which symbolized victory. The book of Revelation being the message communicated that God will win. The assurance that they were looking for “must shortly come to pass,” not two thousand years later. Revelation 1:1. Rest assured, there will be no ”Armageddon” because the phrase is simply symbolic, and has no connection to the fantasy of a future world war. Christine Bettridge has loved writing since childhood. She has written Plays, poetry and many articles. Her latest e-book End Time Secrets recently released by Cypress Street Publishing has caused an order craze in the religious world.
